History of Powerpoint Electrical
I started Powerpoint Electrical in 1991 when the person I was working for retired. It was tough times back then at the backend of the recession (or downturn as the government told us) and the country was just beginning to get back on its feet. We began in a small office in Wimborne and using my garage as a store.
Over the years we have worked for major builders as well as smaller local ones. We have won awards for ‘best contractor’ in the country for McCarthy & Stone as well as numerous ‘NHBC pride in the job’ awards, again our philosophy is simple – give the customers what they want on time with minimum fuss.
The business has always been run on the basis that all our customers are treated in the way that I would expect a tradesman to behave when working in my own home. Working on this principle, with some great staff, great customers and hard work the business soared. But as they say, every 20 years there is a recession (downturn), and we were hit hard with the last one and had to lose some good people, which was very hard.
