History of Powerpoint Electrical
I started Powerpoint Electrical in 1991 when the person I was working for retired. It was tough times back then at the backend of the recession (or downturn as the government told us) and the country was just beginning to get back on its feet. We began in a small office in Wimborne and using my garage as a store.
The business has always been run on the basis that all our customers are treated in the way that I would expect a tradesman to behave when working in my own home. Working on this principle, with some great staff, great customers and hard work the business soared. But as they say, every 20 years there is a recession (downturn), and we were hit hard with the last one and had to lose some good people, which was very hard. Well that was about 2 years ago now, but thanks to our hard working, reliable people, loyal customers and keeping to our original business principle the business is back up to 19 personnel, some who left us previously and some new. We have just taken on 3 new apprentices, Tom & Andy and George. So here’s to the next 18 years!
